Cookie Policy.

This page lists what crteagency.com actually stores on your device, name by name, along with why it is stored, roughly how long it lasts and how to remove it. It is written to be read alongside our Privacy Policy rather than instead of it.

1. What we mean by cookies.

A cookie is a small text file a site asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. Two related technologies do similar work and are covered here as well: local storage and session storage, which hold values in the browser without attaching them to network requests. Where this policy says cookies, it means all three unless a specific item is named otherwise.

2. What this site sets by default.

On a plain visit to a public page, the only third party that stores anything is Google Analytics 4, loaded through our Google Tag Manager container. Google Tag Manager itself stores nothing; it is a loader.

• _ga — Google Analytics. Holds a randomly generated identifier for the browser so repeat visits are counted as one visitor rather than several. Expires two years after your most recent visit.
• _ga_<container> — Google Analytics. Holds session state for this specific property, including when the current session began. Expires two years after your most recent visit.
• Analytics event payloads — page path, referrer, screen size, approximate city-level location derived from your IP address, and which form you submitted. We do not send your name, email address or phone number into analytics.

We do not run advertising pixels, retargeting tags, social tracking pixels, session recording or heat mapping on this site. If that changes, this page changes with it and the date above moves.

3. What only appears when you interact.

Several items are set only in response to something you do. Until then they do not exist on your device.

• Quote and proposal prefill — first-party session storage. When you click a pricing tier or a proposal button, the service you were looking at is kept in the tab so the contact form arrives already filled in. It is discarded when you close the tab and it never leaves your browser.
• Calendly — set when a booking widget or booking link loads, to remember scheduling state and prevent duplicate submissions. Governed by Calendly’s own cookie notice.
• Vimeo — set when a video player loads or plays, for playback quality, volume and view counting. Governed by Vimeo’s own cookie notice.
• Pixieset — set when you open a client gallery or a studio booking page hosted on Pixieset. Those pages are theirs, not ours, and their notice applies there.
• Google Maps — set if a map of our Westlake Village office is loaded in the page, for tile caching and usage measurement.

4. Our internal pages.

The staff-only lead dashboard stores an authentication token in first-party local storage so an operator is not asked to sign in on every page. It is issued only after a successful sign-in, is scoped to this domain, and is deleted on sign-out. Visitors never receive it.

5. Turning them off.

Every current browser can block or delete cookies and clear local storage from its privacy settings, either for all sites or for this one specifically. To stop Google Analytics without changing anything else, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking third-party storage will keep the Calendly and Vimeo embeds from working properly; blocking first-party session storage only means the contact form stops arriving prefilled. Nothing else on the site depends on any of it.

6. Consent and jurisdiction.

We are a California business serving mostly United States clients, where analytics cookies of this kind do not require prior opt-in consent. If you are reading this from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and would like your analytics record removed, write to us and we will request deletion from Google on your behalf. Under California law you may also ask what we hold and ask us to delete it.

7. Do Not Track.

Browsers may transmit a Do Not Track header. No agreed standard exists for how a site should answer it, so we do not act on it. The opt-out add-on above and your browser’s own blocking settings both work regardless of that header.

8. Changes and questions.
